I have now reached one conviction.
Companies exist to bring happiness to people and prosperity to the world.
“Corporate business management” is the ultimate art created in pursuit of that objective.
From the miraculous postwar recovery to recent years,
Japanese corporate business management focused on “creation.”
This brought Japan the world-class prosperity and the “Made in Japan” slogan which supported manufacturing throughout the world.
The foundation of the creation was ideals and senses of mission.
Intrepreneurs played great roles of the “creation” must have had not only money but also pride in their works.
However, as globalization advances and technologies advance dramatically,
it seems their eyes were gradually fixed on competition.
It is of course necessary for companies’ existence to address the changes, take the opportunities and win the competitions. But, focusing too much on competitions leads companies to lose their foundation and people to become exhausted.
I believe now is the time to bring the focus of corporate business management back to what they used to pursue: “creation.”
“Initiative individuals” and “Emergent organizations” bring “creation” to corporate business management.
We need to foster organization culture and corporate climate where each one of individuals exercises one’s abilities and talents to the full extent, works freely and vigorously, thrives on a clash of ideas, creates a fusion of them, and thereby new ideas and values are generated.
We, CELM group, will act as an activator for companies to achieve these goals, and hope to create, together with our clients, the way of dynamic corporate business management that is suitable for the future.
That is the mission for us who believe in the potential of people and organizations, and the role we believe for us to play in society.
