Company F successively conducted M&A and tie-ups with oversea companies, and even Japan office has been facing urgent need for rapid globalization. Managers of such companies need to change from a highly skilled playing manager to a professional manager who supervises various human resources, therefore a complete reform was conducted on the process of the promotion of managers. Specifically, the process was reformed into “Training Assessment” where candidates were assessed for their competencies a few years before the promotion assessment and then their management skills were developed for a year.
A-year-long skill development and multifaceted/objective assessment was
conducted through twice of 360 degrees assessments, three sessions of group
trainings with different themes, and a final presentation
In each of three trainings during the program, the progress of participants are
qualitatively assessed by instructors and HR and participants will receive advice
on skill development along with feedback
Global management skill is requisite for managers of all organizations of the company including the domestic sales department, and people management skills under different cultural environments will be trained and assessed.
